Brass Knuckle Sandwich: Muncie Man Faces Felonies for Punch During Pacers Game

MUNCIE, Ind.–The Pacers have been providing some exhilarating entertainment lately. But for James Hopkins, 42, of Muncie, Wednesday night’s game was the breaking point, or rather knowing his wife was watching the game and drinking beer with a co-worker was the breaking point.
According to police and court documents, Hopkins busted into the co-worker’s apartment and popped him in the face while wearing brass knuckles.
The co-worker told cops Hopkins then pointed a pistol at his chest and said he would kill him.
The wife stepped between the two, then took off running, with Hopkins following.
When police got there they didn’t find Hopkins. But, they say they did find a gun on the floorboard of his car.
The wife, who is separated from Hopkins, told police that Hopkins went to her house and had a rifle. He calmed down and left.
Police found him early Thursday, walking around at a Walmart. He was arrested and booked at the Delaware County Jail. Police have filed three felony charges and one misdemeanor charge against him, and prosecutors had already filed papers under the Red Flag Law, to have his guns taken.
