Fort Wayne Woman Arrested After Wielding Machete
FORT WAYNE, Ind — A Fort Wayne woman was arrested Friday night after locking herself inside a home with a machete.
Police say 32-year-old Bianca Hernandez argued with her child’s father, then grabbed a machete and swung it at others. Everyone got out safely, but Hernandez locked the door and refused to come out.
After failed negotiations, officers forced their way in and arrested her without incident.
She faces a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness.
