Fiery Crash in Plainfield, One Dead and Several Others Injured

PLAINFIELD, Ind.–One person is dead and another was arrested shortly after a crash happened Wednesday morning in Plainfield.
According to a spokesperson with the Plainfield Police Department, an Avon police officer tried to stop a car near U.S. 40 and Ronald Reagan Parkway around 9:15 a.m.
The driver did not stop and eventually hit another car, which caught fire. This led to one person dying and two people inside the car that was hit were injured.
The vehicle that was struck caught fire, leading to one fatality and injuries to two occupants. Officers at the scene also sustained injuries while assisting the victims.
The incident being investigated by multiple law enforcement agencies.
