NWS: Watch Out For Rain In Indiana On Thursday

STATEWIDE–Rain is likely to move into Indiana starting Thursday.
“It is supposed to move in Thursday afternoon with the majority of it falling Thursday night. The highest amounts should be in southern Indiana where we could see an inch or two inches. Then as we get closer to the I-74 corridor, a half inch to an inch is possible and then lesser amounts further north,” said Aaron Updike, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
Along with that, he says you can also expect a warm up.
“We might even be approaching 50 degrees for the high by the end of the work week. It’s definitely a lot higher than what we’ve been seeing in January,” said Updike.
Updike says there is no sign of snow for the Hoosier state for at least the next week or so.
“It’s hard to say when that next snow chance is going to be, but as we get through February, we’ll see another shot of cold air at some point. So we’re not out of the woods yet for snow this season,” said Updike.
Over the next several days, Updike says you might see overnight temperatures around the freezing mark, so you might see some frost on your car when you get up to leave the next day.
