IndyGo To Offer Free Rides In Honor Of Transit Equity Day
Transit Equity Day is here. IndyGo to offer free rides on Transit Equity Day… “Transit Equity Day is celebrated by transit agencies across the country to honor Rosa Parks birthday.” They give these passes out to honor Rosa Parks. Birthday. Allow me to explain to you why that is a fraud. Transit Equity Day didn’t become a thing, didn’t become celebrated federally until Pete Buttigieg as Secretary of Transportation, did so in 2021.

But where does it come from? Transit Equity Day comes from a group called Labor Network for Sustainability. “Making a living on a living planet.” This is what they write, Transit Equity Day. This was back in 2020 when they did this before Pete Buttigieg celebrated it. February 4th, 2020, is a collaborative effort of several organizations and unions to promote public transit as a civil right and a strategy to combat climate change. So, the transit should be free, and also green network psychosis. Why February 4th?
“We are choosing Rosa Parks birthday because she is an iconic figure among many of the civil rights era whose chose the tactic of refusing to give up her seat on the bus. We want to make the connection to this act of resistance to highlight the rights of all people to high quality public transportation powered by clean, renewable energy.” This has nothing to do with Rosa Parks. This has to do with using Rosa Parks, who famously refused to sit in the back of the bus, leading to those bus strikes, leading to changes nationwide. They want to use her memory for their green ideology from their website… This is about people who think they shouldn’t even have to pay for a bus, they should be giving transportation for free. This is about progressive ideology.
