Missing Valparaiso Woman Found Dead Thursday

LAKE STATION, Ind. — A Valparaiso woman was found dead Thursday morning, about one week after she had been reported missing.
A private search party found the body of Jamie Vlamos-Jones in the woods near Clay Street in Lake Station. She had been reported missing last Wednesday, December 18th.
Officers say Vlamos-Jones had parked outside of a paving company but then left her car and other belongings behind. They had found her car that day, and it was later towed from the private grounds.
The woman’s family told reporters that her mental health had been suffering following the death of her son last year. However, it is not yet clear what led to her death.
