Fatal Crash: Semi Collides With Car On NB I-65, Semi Catches Fire

INDIANAPOLIS — The northbound lanes of I-65 in downtown Indianapolis were closed for a few hours due to a fiery crash involving a semi-truck and a passenger car early Friday morning.
The crash happened around 12 a.m. on northbound I-65 between West and 21st streets. Indiana State Police confirmed at least one person was killed.
The crash closed NB I-65 just past the north split between Exit 112 and Exit 115 for a few hours, but the interstate has since reopened.
It’s not clear what led to the crash and State Police have not given any details about the person killed.
