NEWTON COUNTY, Ind. — Following the death of Newton County Corporal Brandon Schreiber, State Police have provided more information about his upcoming funeral service.
Schreiber died on Wednesday, September 11th. Police believe he was shot by Andrew Roselius on September 1st, after Roselius led officers on a chase in Indiana and Illinois.
Now, officers say his visitation service will be held Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. (CST).
The funeral service for the man will be held at 11 a.m. (CST) Friday at the Newton County Fairgrounds. But, unlike some services for fallen law enforcement officers, there will not be a procession that day.
In honor of the fallen Corporal, Governor Eric Holcomb is also asking that flags across Newton County be flown at half-staff Friday.
Schreiber was a registered organ donor.
