Mooresville and Other Schools Shift to E-Learning After Threats

MOORESVILLE, IND –Mooresville Schools called for an e-learning day Thursday after a “suspicious item” found on campus was mistakenly considered a threat. The item, discovered during a training exercise, prompted the decision for students to learn from home, although after-school activities will proceed as usual.
In Huntington County, located in northeastern Indiana, students at Huntington North High School will also have an e-learning day due to a potential threat involving a student with a weapon. The district and local police are investigating the situation and social media posts.

Across Indiana, more than 20 arrests have been made in connection with school threats, affecting communities such as Marion, Anderson, and Indianapolis.
