$80 ‘Fantastic Four’ Popcorn Bucket Sets World Record

Marvel Studios has taken movie theater merchandise to the next level with the release of a massive popcorn bucket modeled after the cosmic villain Galactus.
Priced at $80, this collectible has now officially earned the title of the world’s largest cinema popcorn container, according to Guinness World Records.
Unveiled at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, the Galactus popcorn bucket was launched in conjunction with the premiere of Fantastic Four: First Steps. The bucket is an imposing 17.5 inches tall and spans 20 inches wide when its detachable horns are included. With a capacity of 341 ounces—approximately 10 liters—it’s big enough to share with a whole theater row.
The bucket features a sleek metallic finish and glowing blue LED eyes, giving it a design that stands out far beyond the concession stand.
The success of the Galactus popcorn bucket reflects a broader trend in cinema culture, where exclusive merchandise is being used to enhance the moviegoing experience. As theaters compete with streaming platforms, offering unique, collectible items has become a popular strategy to bring audiences back to the big screen.
