INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis foundation with the mission to support children’s health has named a new president and CEO.

Courtney Roberts will lead Riley Children’s Foundation starting Sept. 2.

The foundation said in a news release that Roberts brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles as president of the Ivy Tech Foundation and executive director of the Lilly Foundation. She was selected after a national search and expected to leverage her expertise in nonprofit leadership and fundraising to advance the foundation’s goals.

The release said Roberts’ leadership at the Ivy Tech Foundation saw the successful completion of a statewide campaign that raised $340 million, addressing workforce needs in Indiana. At the Lilly Foundation, Roberts focused on global health equity, expanding access to care in resource-limited settings, the release said.

Riley Children’s Foundation touts itself as being renowned for its role in founding Riley Hospital for Children in downtown Indianapolis over a century ago. The foundation supports Riley Children’s Health and pediatric research programs at Indiana University School of Medicine, having granted more than $48 million in the last fiscal year. The foundation’s Every Child Deserves Riley campaign aims to raise $300 million to address critical issues like youth mental health and the recruitment of pediatric specialists.
