Liberty Dominate Fever, Clark Sits Out With Groin Injury

BROOKLYN, NY.—The New York Liberty got off to a fast start, led by as many as 27, and trounced the Indiana Fever Wednesday night 98-77 at the Barclays Center.
Fever guard Caitlin Clark missed the game with a groin injury. Her team only shot 37% from the field and 25% from three-point range.
Conversely, the Liberty shot 58% from the field and 52% from three-point range.
Breanna Stewart led all scorers for New York with 24 points. She also had 11 rebounds and seven assists.
For Indiana, Kelsey Mitchell finished the night with 16 points, extending her double-digit scoring streak to 22 games, posting 10+ points in every game so far this season.
Indiana is 12-11 on the year while New York improves to 15-6. These two teams play each other again on July 22 after the All-Star Break.
