The Double, where a driver competes in the 500-mile race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and then heads straight to Charlotte for NASCAR’s 600-mile Coca-Cola 600, is one of the most challenging feats in motorsports.

Despite Larson’s impressive preparation and immense talent, the day took an unexpected turn, which leaves Tony Stewart as the only driver in history to conquer the full 1,100-mile test.
