BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The student whose body was found inside an Indiana University residence hall has been identified as a 19-year-old freshman from Indianapolis.

IU campus police found Jessica Tran just before 8:30 a.m. Monday in the Clark Wing of Read Center, reports The IU Daily Student.

Tran was unresponsive and efforts to revive her were unsuccessful, said IU spokesperson Chuck Carney.

Tran’s cause of death is still under investigation, but Carney said there were no visible signs of foul play or self-harm.
