HOUSTON — The Houston Texans are alone in first place in the AFC South.

The Texans defeated the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football 20-17 off of 298 passing yards from quarterback Deshaun Watson and a pair of touchdowns to DeAndre Hopkins.

“Tough road loss and division loss,” said head coach Frank Reich. “I thought our guys prepared very hard and came in here and played hard and played against a good football team on the road Thursday night. We knew it was a big game. We knew what was at stake.”

“It’s frustrating,” said linebacker Darius Leonard. “You come into a divisional game for the top spot. You come in and want to get a big win. We didn’t play our best ball.”

Jonathan Williams picked up right where he left off in the previous game at running back for the Colts, carrying the ball 26 times for 104 yards and a touchdown.

The Colts have now lost three of their last four games falling to 6-and-5 on the season. They’re off until next Sunday when they face the Tennessee Titans at home.
