DOGE has been a real thorn in the side of leftists. When Dems don’t get their way at the ballot box, they scream “Constitutional Crisis.” and then shop for friendly judges to block what they don’t want. William Jacobson of the Cornell Law School joins Tony Katz Today to talk about activist judge trying to stymie President Donald Trump.

Trump 100% disagrees with federal judge’s ‘crazy’ ruling blocking DOGE from Treasury system

Tony Katz:

Everything’s a constitutional crisis according to the Democrats, when they are not happy with what is happening. That said, I ask you about these moves that Trump is making on finding out how spending is working, finding out where bloat is on USAID, the Agency for International Development conversations about the Department of Education. Constitutional crisis in your view?

William Jacobson:

There’s no constitutional crisis. We had an election. Trump is doing what he promised to do. He’s very strong in the polls. I think he’s at 53 or 54% approval, which for him is incredible. And so no, there’s no constitutional crisis other than Democrats lost in the election and a duly elected president who won both the electoral votes and the popular vote. So, they can’t complain about that. He’s doing what he said he was gonna do. There is no crisis. They are trying to create a constitutional crisis by obtaining judicial rulings, which I do not think will stand… You have a judge at 1:00 in the morning on a Saturday without giving the government even a chance to be heard, decapitating the political leadership of a major branch of the executive department and handing it over to civil servants… Somebody has to put a stop to that sort of judicial activism. And I say that without any joy because I’m somebody who generally will defend the integrity of the court system. I believe the vast majority of judges, whether we agree with what they do or they we don’t agree, try to do what they think is the right thing. And when you have a judge go rogue like this, it damages the credibility of the entire judiciary.
