Senator Young: I Take My Oath To Defend Every Bit Of The Constitution
Senator Todd Young: I Take My Oath To Defend Every Bit Of The Constitution Very Seriously
Tony is joined by Senator Todd Young of Indiana to talk about the confirmation of Tulsi Gabbard and his phone call with Elon Musk, and Donald Trump’s comments on Gaza.
(It) takes a lot being a member of the Senate, being a member of the House. Like for example, some senators get called deep state puppets only to have it reversed 2 hours later. It’s different when it’s Elon Musk calling you a deep state puppet and then saying, ohh, no, no, no, this guy is great. The person he was speaking about, Senator Todd Young of Indiana, joins us
This is, of course, about Tulsi Gabbard. And you had in that hearing. You’re on the Intel committee there in the Senate. She wants me to director of National Intelligence. You asked your questions and people were questioning whether you were going to be supportive of Tulsi Gabbard, this thing comes out about being a deep state puppet. You had a conversation according to the reports, and then a couple hours later Elon Musk is saying I stand corrected. Senator Young will you be a great ally in restoring power to the people from the vast unelected bureaucracy?
Listen, you know, this is an important position that Miss Gabbard has been nominated for. I support the President’s efforts to mix things up to ensure that our national security community and our intelligence community is focused narrowly on national security and not secondary or tertiary concerns at best. And, frankly, that’s why he was elected in a significant margin in our own state and around the country to do. At the same time, you know, I take my oath to defend every bit of the Constitution very seriously. That’s my job. That’s why I was elected by over 20 points just a couple of years ago. And so, I have a mandate to fulfill my advice and consent responsibility to empower this president to be working with people that are going to serve his and our best interests.
