TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A doctor in Indiana was shot in the arm, and then he held the shooter to the ground until police arrived at the scene.
Court documents say the doctor went into his garage in Terre Haute, which was on the 500 block of Grayburn Court. He then saw a black car pulling in from behind him. The doctor thought it was a delivery driver, that was until the man opened fire. The doctor tried closing the garage door, but it was too late as the man got out of his car and made a run into the garage. The man was identified as 28-year-old, Andre Uche Obua.
The doctor then reached out to police, saying he had been shot in the arm while sitting inside his car.
After Obua opened fire, that’s when the doctor ran to him and started to wrestle him for his gun. Obua then tried to choke the doctor, but then his luck ran out after the doctor hit him in between his legs, which then made him drop the gun. The doctor held Obua to the ground until police arrived at the scene.
Obua and the doctor were taken to the hospital to get treated.
Obua was then taken to Vigo County Jail, facing charges, including attempted murder.
