STATEHOUSE–Applications are now open for the Indiana House Page Program at the Statehouse for the 2025 legislative session.
Through this program, students between the ages of 13 and 18 can apply for a chance to spend some time assisting lawmakers, touring the statehouse, and seeing the legislative process in action.
“It’s always a highlight of the season when local students serve as pages at the statehouse. This program offers a unique chance to better understand the lawmaking process while learning how decisions impact their communities. If you or someone you know is interested, encourage them to sign up and get involved,” said Republican State Representative J.D. Prescott of Union City.
Students have a chance to be a page on weekdays during the session which begins on January 8 and has to conclude by April 29.
“Students should take advantage of this hands-on learning experience at the statehouse. From sitting in on session to assisting lawmakers, the the page program is a great way to learn more about how state laws are made,” said Republican Representative Jim Pressel of Rolling Prairie.
To schedule a group visit, you can contact the Page Program Director at 317-232-9410 or email pageprogram@iga.in.gov.
All participants get an excused absence from school, but students are responsible for their own lunch and transportation to and from the Statehouse.
