Colts Part Ways With Defensive Coordinator Gus Bradley

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indianapolis Colts are parting ways with defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.
Bradley’s three-year contract was up in 2024. The organization chose not to bring him back.
“I’m appreciative of Gus and the commitment he made to the Colts,” head coach Shane Steichen said. “He is a man of great character, and I have the utmost respect for him. I felt like we needed to move in a different direction. I wish Gus and his family all the best moving forward.”
During Bradley’s three seasons, the Colts ranked 29th, 28th, and 24th in points allowed.
In 2024, the Colts ranked 24th in the NFL in sack percentage, 30th in third-down percentage allowed, and 29th in yards allowed.
The Colts defense allowed their most points in the season in Week 17 in their loss to the Giants. The Giants had the worst record in the NFL before the game and finished the season ranked 30th in points per game. The Colts allowed 45 points to the Giants and with the loss were eliminated from playoff contention.
The Colts finished the season 8-9. General Manager Chris Ballard will have his end of the season press conference on Wednesday at 9 am.
