BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—The 16th ranked Indiana Hoosier men’s basketball team pulled away late to beat the UNC Greensboro Spartans Thursday night at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall 69-58.
They are 4-0 on the season now.
Indiana led by as many as 16 points twice in the game, but at one point, the Spartans came back to tie the game at 40 in the second half.
From that point on, the Hoosiers outscored the Spartans 29-18 despite making just 1 of 9 three-point shots in the second half.
Bryson Tucker completed a three-point play to give the Hoosiers a 43-40 lead and the game would never be tied again. Tucker scored 14 points on 5-9 shooting while Myles Rice led Indiana with 20 points. He also dished out 6 assists and grabbed 5 rebounds.
Ronald Polite III was the leading scorer for the Spartans with 17 points.
Indiana also made 14 of 16 free throws.
