INDIANAPOLIS — Rain, wind, and warmer-than-normal temperatures are expected over the next several days, according to the National Weather Service.
“It’s going to feel more like August out there than November,” said Cody Moore with the National Weather Service. “We still have highs in the mid-60s through the weekend and early next week.”
Much of the state is still experiencing drought conditions. Moore says the U.S. Drought Monitor shows that northern Indiana is in severe drought, central Indiana is facing moderate drought, and southern Indiana is classified as abnormally dry.
“Tuesday night, heavier rain will spread across the state,” Moore said. “We are looking at anywhere from closer to an inch in southern Indiana to three-quarters of an inch in central Indiana.”
Moore says the long-term outlook for weather and temperatures is favorable, and he believes temperatures will remain unseasonably warm until next week.
