Joe Hogsett Is Not Okay

I have heard every rumor, maybe every rumor there is about Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett. And I have never shared one here because that’s not what professionals do. Every rumor about him, about his personal life, about his condition, their rumors. And without a basis, without data, without facts, what else is there? Except rumor, and rumor does not a radio show make. But there is no doubt that you and I can look at someone and say they are not OK. We have the ability, without being doctors, without having any medical training, just by our existence, we have the ability to observe something and say that is odd, awkward, something is amiss, something is Askew. This is Malcolm Gladwell in the book Blink, the very concept that in our gut, in our souls, we know something’s off. Even if we’re not fully aware, cognizant in that frontal lobe about what it is, we just know that it’s off. It’s like when a mother knows that their kid is sick. They know. They can sense, they can see, they can smell whatever it is. And they’ve got it figured out.

And you have these stories, and your meemaw has these stories and your great uncle has these stories of when mom or grandma or auntie or whomever noticed it and figured it out before anybody else knew it better than the doctors knew it better than the rest. There’s a thing. That exists within all of us. When we see something we’re like, “that’s not right” and sometimes it is slight. And sometimes it is glaring. With Mayor Joe Hogsett, it is glaring. Something’s not OK with Joe Hogsett.

Joe Hogsett was at an event over the weekend. And spoke now, he hasn’t been speaking at events. He’s been hiding from events because of all the sexual harassment and impropriety that takes place in his administration. As we discussed last week. You can find the story at WIBC.com.

Over the last near 10 years, Joe Hogsett has created a cesspool in Indianapolis. A culture of abuse and corruption in Indianapolis city government. This is obvious and yes, I believe it is a corrupting force when you have people who are sexually harassing and possibly abusing women. This is all happened under Joe Hogsett, and he has not paid attention to any of it. We have been told by three different women, as reported by Mirror Indy

of sexual impropriety from his former chief of staff, Thomas Carl Cook. An investigation that allegedly took place in 2017. Where is the proof of the investigation? We would like to see it.

I’m not saying it didn’t happen. I’m saying until you could provide proof of it, it didn’t happen. We want to see this and then Thomas Carl Cook, three different women and possibly more in saying that there was a sexual impropriety then brought back to run help with the campaign this past time around. This is the kind of guy that Joe Hogsett is, and you could argue just from that this guy isn’t alright. But there he is at this festival. And this is what Joe Hogsett sounds like.

His Team said that he was just telling a joke there. His team lies, in my opinion, and I believe that the Hogsett administration is covering up for Joe Hogsett. Media sources who were at the event are telling me that he was trying to announce winners of an event. He couldn’t pronounce names. He was laughing to himself. He was swaying. I cannot tell you if the mayor of Indianapolis, Joe Hogsett, was drunk at this event. I cannot tell you if he was high at this event, whether it be by an illicit drug or a prescribed drug. I cannot tell you if Joe Hogsett is having some kind of mental issue. I have no way of diagnosing what is. What I am saying is that there’s something wrong with Joe Hogsett and everything is up for conversation. If the Hogsett administration wants to come at me, you better come heavy. For years and years, rumors have abounded, and I have never said a word. I have, as a matter of fact, said that I will not listen to rumor. You have to bring me proof, otherwise there is nothing. Where was Joe Hogsett for two nights of riots?

I have heard every single rumor that exists, but no one ever brought me proof. And I never said a word except to ask the question, why is there nobody asking where Joe Hogsett was for two nights of riots? Well, now I have something. Congratulations, by the way, to Max Lewis from Fox 59 – CBS 4 for grabbing this video and sharing it. There’s something wrong with Joe Hogsett, and maybe this explains why he cannot run an administration. And maybe this explains why he allows sexual impropriety to take place in his administration. What I wanna know is, was this the Joe Hogsett that was negotiating with Major League Soccer for a team? Does this show Hogsett getting Indianapolis the best deal? And who was there allowing Joe Hogsett this Joe Hogsett to engage that negotiation? Dan Parker, Vop Osili, Ali Brown, the entirety of the Democrats in the Indianapolis City County Council? Hell with that, the entirety of the Indianapolis City County Council going to stay quiet when they see this?

 There’s something wrong with Joe Hogsett and I do not know if he was drunk, I do not know if he was high on something illicit or prescription, I do not know if he has a mental condition. I don’t know. What I know is what my eyes and ears tell me, and that man is not OK. Joe Hogsett is not OK. And it is up to us to ask what the problem is and to demand answers from the administration. Every member of the press has to stop and ask questions and demand answers from the administration, not written statements, answers into a microphone. Do not stop, do not rest, do not quit. Every member of the press, everybody in Indianapolis must demand answers because Indianapolis needs answers.

And to the Hogsett administration. If you wanna come at me, as I said, I’m right here. It’s just a job. But I’m right. And he’s not OK. And he might need help. And Indianapolis deserves better.
