INDIANAPOLIS — Two shootings left several people hurt and two dead. One of the people shot was a 12-year-old boy.

The first shooting happened on the west side of the city. Indianapolis Metro Police got the call around 5 Saturday morning about a shooting at West 38th and Lafayette Road. Police arrived and found two people shot. One person died, but the other survived. Police say that man is in stable condition.

IMPD was informed shortly after that two people walked into two hospitals with gunshot wounds. One person at Eskenazi Hospital, and the other at St. Vincent Hospital. It’s unknown if they were involved in this shooting.

No additional information has been released about the victims or potential suspects.

On the east side of Indianapolis at around 9 Saturday night, IMPD responded to 28th and North Wheeler Streets. Police say two shootings happened around the same time in that area.

Officers arrived and found the 12-year-old boy shot. He’s expected to recover.

Police found two more people injured and one person dead. The two injured are also expected to recover. Police have no more additional information about the victims or potential suspects.
