Ellison says officers interviewed the victim and looked at surveillance video, which helped them identify the suspects as 24-year-old Elijah J. Oates and 25-year-old Daquez Stockdale.
“We do a very good job of patrolling and preventing as much as we can,” Ellison says. “We are very active when needed and have such an amazing team with all of the tools and resources available to track people down whenever they commit crimes.”
Ellison says you are always urged to remain safe, especially in your neighborhoods.
“Locking doors, keeping garage doors down, locking up valuables in your homes, locking your cars, parking in the garage if possible, leaving on lights are all of the normal things officers would ask citizens to do,” Ellison says.
Fishers Police later found Oates Thursday afternoon and Stockdale Friday morning, and they were both taken to the Hamilton County Jail.
Oates and Stockdale face the following charges:
– Robbery – Burglary – Residential Entry – Theft – Criminal Confinement
and additional charges.
“This is definitely an isolated incident,” Sergeant Ellison says.
Ellison says crimes like these do not happen in Fishers, but if you see anything suspicious, you are urged to give the department a call.
