Okay, it’s been a stressful week for everyone. The UK apparently wants to make it harder for our friends across the pond as the Prime Mister announced a new four-week national “lockdown” for the country.

As if being on lockdown isn’t enough, they have to do it without (lots of) beer!

Thursday was the last day pubs and brewers could sell all the beer they could, specifically their cask beer, which doesn’t have a long shelf-life. It’s reported that 7.5 million British imperial pints-equivalent of 70,000+ kegs- will be lost.

Originally the British government wasn’t going to allow pubs to switch to selling packaged beer for takeout, but after the numerous online reports of the unnecessary waste they have reversed that.

So maybe there is hope for the ‘essential’ drink? Either way could you send some over here mates?
