IMPD: Indy Hit‑and‑Run Kills Person

The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but didn’t survive.

INDIANAPOLIS –A man was hit and killed in a crash on Indy’s west side Tuesday morning, and the driver took off. Police were called to South Bridgeport and Rockville around 8 a.m.

The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but didn’t survive. The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 45-year-old Anthony Thomas.

Officers are still trying to figure out who hit him and what led up to it.
