FORT PIERCE, Fla. — The man found guilty of trying to assassinate President Trump in Florida has been sentenced to life in prison.

Ryan Routh was convicted last year.

In September 2024, Routh was arrested after he was spotted hiding in shrubbery near Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach. At the time, Trump was a presidential candidate.
