WIBC hosts Jason Hammer and Brian Baker – aka ‘Fake Nigel’ – are “Brothers in Burt,” but one of them may have taken things a little too far on Wednesday during a segment of “Is This Anything?”

Sally Field is preparing to publish her memoir, entitled In Pieces, and in the book, she discusses her relationship with Burt Reynolds, who passed away last week at the age of 82.

Unfortunately for Burt Reynolds loyalists, Field’s recollections of her relationship with Burt are extremely dark and cast a negative shadow on the beloved “Bandit.”

In her boring and uninteresting book, Sally Field calls Burt Reynolds controlling during their relationship and only able accept certain aspects of her life while disapproving of others. She also claims that during the filming of Smokey and the Bandit, Reynolds was taking Percodan, Valium, and barbiturates, and also received regular injections of something in his chest. She says she urged him to seek professional help for problems with stress and anxiety, but that he refused.

That’s right; Burt’s been gone less than a week and this overrated, liberal has-been is already taking shots at him.

“You stay classy, San Diego.”

As expected, Brian lost his mind when Sally Field went after his hero:

“She is absolutely pathetic. Sally, I don’t care how hot you were as the Flying Nun. Burt Reynolds has been dead less than a week, and you, you overrated hag, are already taking shots at him? Shame on you! I know you’re trying to sell your book and you figure pushing the Burt angle will help you sell more copies since no one else would give a crap otherwise, but for God’s sake woman, the least you could do is wait until the body’s cold.

You know what, Hammer? Let me just take a moment here to offer up a very sincere prayer. Lord? Heavenly Father? Burt’s only been dead for a week; it’s not too late for a trade.”
