Indiana Fever Knock Off Mercury 107-101 To Claim Third Straight Victory

INDIANAPOLIS–The Indiana Fever won their third straight game Wednesday night by knocking off the Phoenix Mercury 107-101 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Indiana’s 107 points is their highest point total of the season and the third most in franchise history.
The Fever fell behind 30-20 after the first quarter, but outscored Phoenix in the second quarter 35-20. They were propelled by three-point shooting (11 for 24 at 46%) and overall shooting (52%) to get the win.
While Caitlin Clark has not played for the Fever since July 15 (groin injury), the Fever continue to rely on their bench. They played 10 players on Wednesday. Their leading scorer was Aari McDonald with 27 points. Aliyah Boston finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds.
Alyssa Thomas scored 32 points for Phoenix to lead all scorers. She also snagged 15 rebounds.
The win puts the Fever at 15-12 on the year while Phoenix drops to 16-10.
