Man Dead from Shooting on Indy’s Northwest Side
INDIANAPOLIS — A man is dead after being shot in a residential neighborhood on the near-northwest side of Indianapolis Friday night.
IMPD responded to the 800 block of West 29th Street in a housing edition just south of the I-65 interchange for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street. Just after 9:30 p.m., they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and multiple shell casings at the scene.
The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, but died there.
Officers are now investigating the shooting. No other details about the incident have been released at this time.
