What can Indiana do with rogue prosecutors who won’t do the job? Lawmakers should consider giving the General Assembly the power to impeach prosecutors and judges who fail to enforce state law—particularly in cases involving violent crime.
How does one deal with rogue judges, rogue prosecutors, those who won’t do the job. What kind of authority should the state have should the people have in saying this isn’t working?
Representative Ireland joins me. This is about saying of a prosecutor and certainly the conversation has revolved around Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears. Is that if you’re choosing not to actually prosecute things, does that matter?
We should have the ability to remove you from office. This doesn’t exist right now within the pantheon of all the laws and regulations in Indiana?
