New Animal Cruelty Charges for Woman with Violent History

Indianapolis, IN – A woman previously imprisoned for her role in horrific “animal crushing” videos is back in legal trouble after being found with a dozen dehydrated animals in a U-Haul van. Krystal Scott, 24, of Kokomo, now faces low-level felony charges of cruelty to an animal in Marion County, sparking renewed outrage among animal welfare advocates.
Scott served 19 months in federal prison after a 2021 conviction for torturing and killing animals, then posting the gruesome videos online. She was released on supervised probation with a strict condition: no contact with animals. However, a recent tip led Indianapolis Animal Care Services to the U-Haul, where they discovered ten dogs and three kittens living in squalid conditions, without food or water.
While Scott and two others found in the van were issued violations, the ownership of the animals remains unclear. A federal judge has since issued an arrest warrant for Scott, citing a violation of her probation terms. A revocation hearing is set for July 29. This incident highlights ongoing concerns about animal abuse and the challenges of ensuring individuals with a history of such crimes comply with release conditions.
