Shelbyville Man Goes Missing in South Carolina, Still Hasn’t Been Found
PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC.–Kerry Van Arsdel is from Shelbyville, Indiana. He has been missing for over two weeks after leaving a marina in Pawleys Island, South Carolina on a sailboat.
The sailboat was found unmanned near Butler Island, several miles away from the docks, with no sign of Van Arsdel on it. He left the marina on the boat May 19. The boat was found unmanned on May 22. The search for Van Arsdel has been going on ever since then.
Despite extensive searches by the sheriff’s department and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Van Arsdel has not been located.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Department.
