RICHMOND, Ind. — A man was arrested after he was pulled over and found with lots of drugs.

The Richmond Police Department pulled 29-year-old Tayonne Tevis over in the area of South 13th and South L Streets on Monday, catching him with more than 230 grams, or eight ounces, of illegal narcotics, including cocaine and heroin.

Tevis was taken into custody and he faces preliminary charges of possession of a narcotic drug and dealing in a controlled substance.

“This arrest is a direct result of focused enforcement and relentless teamwork,” Richmond Police Department Chief Kyle Weatherly said. “We are not sitting back while drugs destroy families.”
