Indiana Pacers Defeat Cleveland, Return to Eastern Conference Finals

CLEVELAND, OH.—The Indiana Pacers overcame a 19 point deficit to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers 114-105 Tuesday night and return to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Cleveland held a 44-25 lead in the second quarter, but the Pacers surged back to cut it to 4 at halftime. By the end of the third quarter, Indiana led by 9.
Cleveland cut it to 87-86 to start the fourth quarter, but Indiana would outscore them 27-19 the rest of the way.
Indiana was propelled by their starters who all finished in double figure scoring. Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 31 points while going 6-10 from three-point range.
Donovan Mitchell for Cleveland led all scorers with 35 points.
The Pacers were eliminated in the Eastern Conference Finals last season. This is their first back-to-back trip to the Conference Finals since the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
They will host Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on the same day as the Indianapolis 500.
