INDIANAPOLIS — The man accused of murdering his mother in Speedway was arrested after being shot in downtown Indy Monday evening.
Vinson Edge was quickly named as a suspect when police were called to her apartment in Speedway Monday morning. They found Vicki Edge stabbed to death and told you to be on the lookout for Vinson Edge.
It didn’t take long for them to track him down. Police were called to a shooting downtown that evening at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Maryland streets.
The victim was Vinson Edge. He was shot in the leg and taken to a hospital where he is also in police custody. The people involved in the shooting downtown all stayed at the scene and police believe they are all connected somehow to Vicki Edge’s murder.
It’s unclear if anyone else has been arrested.
