Police Say Motorcycle Crashed into SUV on Indy’s East Side

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says at least one person was killed in a crash on Indy’s east side Wednesday evening.
Officers arrived on East Raymond Street, near South Sherman Drive, to look into this.
Police said early Thursday that they believe someone was driving a motorbike westbound on East Raymond Street, they then hit an SUV, and they and the motorbike slid on the road.
Officers also say the victim hit a guardrail, and the motorbike caught on fire after it stopped sliding in the road. They say the driver of the SUV stayed at the scene.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office is figuring out how exactly the person died.
