BROWNSBURG, Ind — Brownsburg police are investigating a double homicide after two men were found dead early Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to gunshots around 2:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Acre Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered the two victims, whose identities have not yet been released.
A neighbor shared his reaction to the news.
“Shock,” said Mark Halsey, who has lived in the neighborhood for eight years. “It doesn’t seem like it would happen in a neighborhood like that.”
Police are also seeking surveillance footage from nearby homes or businesses that could assist with the investigation.
“There’s some older folks that live in the neighborhood and some younger folks that have moved in,” Halsey added.
The investigation remains active, and Acre Avenue between Washington and Vernon Lane was closed for several hours
