JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind.–Illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were found inside a Greenwood home Thursday morning and one man was arrested.
Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess said the man they arrested has been identified as 43-year-old Kenji Edison. He was found in a home at 1382 South Morgantown Road. That’s a mile away from Independence Park.
“We had received credible information and confirmed the information. We executed that search warrant. Then we found cocaine, marijuana, and other paraphernalia at that residence. Then we arrested Edison,” said Burgess.
Burgess says neighbors called the tip lines at various agencies to let them know what was going on at the house.
“We did our work to get the probable cause we needed to enter the home,” said Burgess.
He said he was getting tips about Edison for the last seven months. It’s also not Edison’s first run in with the law.
“We’ve had other incidents where he’s been arrested and brought into our jail,” said Burgess.
Edison is also accused of raping a woman in 2019.
The following agencies assisted with the arrest of Edison. They were the following:
- Johnson County Sheriff’s Office
- Bargersville Police Department
- Edinburgh Police Department
- Franklin Police Department
- Bargersville Fire Department
- White River Fire Department
