WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.–In a game that had 15 lead changes and six ties, the #10 Purdue Boilermakers held on to beat the Indiana Hoosiers at Mackey Arena 81-76.

Trey Galloway made a jumper to put Indiana 76-75 with 29 seconds left. Then Purdue came down and got a bucket from Trey Kaufman-Renn to go up 77-76. Myles Rice then missed the following shot attempt for Indiana. Purdue scored the next four points after that to seal the win.

Indiana turned the ball over 20 times and that led to 26 Purdue points.

Mackenzie Mgbako led the way with 25 points and five rebounds for Indiana. Galloway had 15 points followed by Oumar Ballo with 14 and Luke Goode finished with 13 points.

Braden Smith delivered 24 points to lead the way for Purdue and dished out seven assists. Kaufman-Renn scored 23 points while making 10 of 13 shots.

Both Purdue and Indiana led by as many as 7.

Purdue improves to 17-5 overall and 9-2 in the Big Ten. They play at Iowa on Tuesday February 4.
