INDIANAPOLIS — Expect dry weather for most of this week with moderating temperatures, which is a nice change from the past many weeks in January.

Jason Puma, Meteorologist from the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, has the details on how the weather will be throughout Sunday and the work week.

“As we go through the day Sunday, we’re going to look for mostly cloudy skies with a high near 31,” Puma says.

Puma says it will warm up as the work week starts.

“We’re going to see sunshine return for Monday and Tuesday and warmer temperatures with highs in the lower 40’s,” Puma says.

Dry weather will take place throughout most of the week.

“Dry weather is going to continue Wednesday and Thursday with more highs in the middle to lower 40’s,” Puma says.

However, Puma says to expect a possible chance of precipitation Friday.

“Friday is when there will be a 40% chance of rain,” Puma says. “Again, it’s still relatively mild for this time of year with a high near 46.”

Puma says the National Weather Service in Indianapolis is not looking for anything that’s super windy.

“We will have a few wind gusts on Monday and Tuesday, where we could see some wind gusts around 25 miles per hour, but that’s not anything severe,” Puma says.
