BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-The Indiana Hoosier men’s basketball team improved to 10-3 on the year with a 77-68 victory over Winthrop on Sunday inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

Indiana led by as many as 9, but Winthrop cut the lead to 1 with 3:16 left at 69-68. Indiana held them scoreless over the final 3:16 to win.

Despite making just 1 of 20 three-point shots, Indiana won their second game in a row and six out of their last seven games.

The Hoosiers were led in scoring by Myles Rice who had 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. The other double figure scorers for Indiana were Malik Reneau (14) and Trey Galloway (11).

Indiana did not have Oumar Ballo, so Langdon Hatton came in and grabbed 11 rebounds while scoring 7 points in the post.

Winthrop came in scoring 86 points per game on average, but Indiana held them to 68. Winthrop was led in scoring by KJ Doucet and Kasen Harrison who each scored 14.
