WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.—An argument escalated into a stabbing in West Lafayette Tuesday night.

The West Lafayette Police Department said the incident began with a call about an unwanted guest at the Country Villa Apartments at around 8:50 pm. They believe three people were in the home at the time and called the scene “chaotic.”

Officers say 55-year-old Scott Nail of Colfax was the man stabbed. He had an outstanding warrant for his arrest through the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department. He was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds and was accompanied by a police officer.

Kimberly German, a 54-year-old West Lafayette woman, was arrested for assisting a criminal by allowing Nail, a fugitive, to stay at her apartment.

German was taken to the Tippecanoe County Jail.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the West Lafayette Police Department at (765) 775-5200.
