INDIANAPOLIS — Many people were shot on Indy’s east and south sides.
One person has died, and three are in critical condition, and many others are in the hospital.
All of these shootings lasted a total of 12 hours. Indy Metro Officers said six of those shootings happened since Sunday around midnight. The first shooting on Sunday happened around 1 a.m. on East 40th Street, where three people were shot and taken to the hospital, where they are recovering.
Officers found two men who were shot early Sunday around 2:30, which was on East New York Street. One man has died, and another man is in critical condition. Police say those men argued inside a liquor store, and it got worse in the parking lot outside of it, which that’s when someone opened fire.
Another man was shot early Sunday around 3:00 at a bar called the “Brad’s Brass Flamingo” nightclub, where an argument took place, which then led to someone going outside to get their gun, and that’s when they opened fire. Police then arrived on South Randolph Street around 4:00 early Sunday where another person was shot. Another person was shot on Congaree Drive just minutes later. Officers took all of those people to the hospital, where they are recovering. They say they haven’t found any suspects. No arrests have been reported either.
