There is a lot to vote on this fall, but there is arguably nothing more important than the school board races.
While we often tend to focus more on national elections, it’s actually the local ones that have a direct impact on our daily lives—especially the school board election, which shapes the future of our children.
It’s the only election in the state where you don’t have to declare a party affiliation, so it’s hard to know where candidates stand. This lack of transparency is a big reason why public education is struggling in this state.
Martin Strother, the Education Director for the Indiana Family Institute, joins Kendall and Casey to discuss the upcoming school board races and how he is working to give parents a voice in their communities and help them understand what is going in their local schools.
