Indianapolis Animal Care Services Director Changes Background Check Policy For Adoption Because Old Policy Is ‘Discriminatory’
About Indianapolis Animal Care Services and background checks. Two staffers there were fired because when someone’s trying to adopt an animal, they do a background check and they use something called MyCase, which is available to the public and you can see if they’ve had any legal issues. Well, Indianapolis Animal Care Services has said you can’t use that system, even though that used to be the system because, well, it’s discriminatory. It’s discriminatory, Ohh for the woke, it’s discriminatory. Got it.
Two women got fired because they were using it (MyCase) because that was, how the job was explained to them, and they were saying, well, some people can’t adopt because they’ve got something in their past that maybe makes them unavailable, unacceptable to do so. If you’re checking for a history of animal neglect or animal cruelty. You would think that might be something that is done. So, these women are like, “we want the policy brought back.”
Kelly Diamond, IACS deputy director
As far as MyCase, it’s not coming back and just by the mere fact that people of color are more than likely to have records on there. That by itself is discrimination.
People of color might be discriminated against? Only if they’ve abused animals! This is it? What else is a great story about DEI and woke and the nonsense? We shouldn’t check to see if somebody abused animals because somebody who’s black might not be able to adopt the animal? Screw them! Kelly Diamond, screw them. I don’t have pets. I famously don’t have a pets, because honestly, I cleaned up the poop of my kids and I’m done. The only person I’m worrying about in the cleanup department is yours truly. I am not following a dog late in the night on a humid day. On a snowy day, being like, are you done yet? Well, I’ve got a plastic bag around my hand. I know pets are much more than that, but that part means daddy is out. But your dog is beautiful. Ohh, and you got the Guinea Pig. Adorable.

I’m not that guy. But you think we should be allowing people to adopt if they’ve abused animals before and to check their background is racist? Has anybody thought about firing Kelly Diamond today? Or at least looking her in the eye and saying damn, that’s dumb? That’s insane. I know I would say do Black Hoosiers need to hear this, but the answer is no, no, no, no they don’t. You ain’t special, White Hoosiers not special either. If you abused animals, you don’t get to adopt the animal! It’s basic. It’s discriminatory. You are an ignorant, ignorant woman, Kelly Diamond. What kind of madness is this? Just by the mere fact that people of color are more likely to have records on there, that by itself is discrimination and introduces biases for things that are not related to a person’s ability to be a good pet owner. The question is, did they abuse an animal in the past? Holy Cow. Ohh go ahead, send me your emails. Go ahead, complain. It’s ridiculous. Everybody knows it. Everybody listening knows how nuts this is. They’re black, they’re white, they’re Asian, Hispanic. They’re gay, they’re straight, They’re Christian, they’re Jewish, they’re Muslim. They’re Democrats, Republicans. They all know this is nuts.

We could at least come together on this… How we can’t get outraged for sexual harassment and Joe Hogsett hiring somebody like that and keeping them in their employ. (audio below)
Can we get outraged for this or is everybody in Indianapolis just dead inside? Let’s see which one gets more traction, the horrible story or the horrible story.
