INDIANAPOLIS — Park Tudor School received an email on Thursday warning that an explosive device was in the school. School leaders contacted the police, who searched the school but found no devices.

Indianapolis Metro Police tell WIBC that staff also advised them that the email was sent to as many as 19 other schools. Police searched Park Tudor twice but determined the threat to be unfounded.

“Park Tudor received a bomb threat that was sent to approximately 20 schools. While we believed the threat to be non-credible, we immediately notified law enforcement,” said Cathy Chapelle, Director of Strategic Communications at Park Tudor School. “IMPD inspected all of the buildings on our campus and we were cleared to begin classes at 10:00 a.m.”
