Thorntown Woman Killed in Boone County Crash

BOONE COUNTY, Ind.–A Thorntown woman was killed in a crash in Boone County Thursday afternoon.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just before 2:30 near the intersection of State Road 39 and a county road.
They have reason to believe 43-year-old Nicole Spann was driving a silver and red 1994 GMC 1500 pickup truck recklessly and hit a dump truck head-on. Spann was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the dump truck, 36-year-old Brandon Buchanan of Gosport, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
They are trying to figure out what caused Spann to leave her lane of travel.
