Joe Hogsett’s Creepy Cook
Tony Katz:
So why aren’t the women of Indianapolis upset? I mean, are you all liars? Frauds. You only claim to be #metoo when it’s a Republican involved or when it’s trendy, but not when it’s your mayor. You had the Indy Star. Share a story that Joe Hogsett the mayor hire Thomas Carl Cook, a guy we referred to on this show as creepy numerous times. Because he was.
He’d retweet stuff we’d say but would never respond to requests for interviews. The guy had photobombed me at a Pacers game, tried to shake my hands. Awkward, weird guy.
I realized at that time that Hogsett is surrounded by children, and maybe that’s why he wasn’t coming on the show. And then I realized that the issue was him. He claims to listen to the show, by the way, so he he’s listening right now. Well, as reported by the Star. Thomas Carl Cook, his deputy chief and his deputy mayor, His chief of staff was grooming women was trying to engage in sexual activity with women in his employ. And hands it, knew about it for three years and did nothing. And then he gets a job. Thomas Carl Cook at Bose Law. And I’ve been asking the question, did Hogsett recommend him for the job, knowing the allegations of sexual impropriety that were going on? And the women of Indianapolis stay silent.

Now maybe I missed it, but has anybody heard from counselor Allie Brown? Has anybody heard from the strong women of Indianapolis? Every week or every month, in the pages of the Indianapolis Business Journal, Dana Black writes something terrible about Republicans, something awful about conservatives. Just absolute nonsense. The IBJ really needs to figure that one out. And it’s not just because I disagree, just because it’s just bad. Where is she outraged? Nothing. No push for him to resign. No questions about his impropriety. The Indy Star comes out with a bombshell. Respect for the reporting and nothing.
And then there’s Joe Hogsett greeting Kamala Harris. At the airport when she comes to town on Wednesday. Why is this guy who allegedly harbored an employee who was grooming women in his employ? Meeting with the Vice President of the United States, a proud feminist. And why is Nick Roberts standing there?
Nick Roberts is Gen. Z, the youngest city Councilor in the nation at the age of 23, elected to the Indianapolis City County Council. He also on social media wants you to know his pronouns. Question for you. You’re all supportive of Kamala Harris. Your whole Twitter feed is nothing but you and Kamala Harris. “It was an immense honor to welcome the Vice President Kamala Harris to India be a part of her presidential motorcade.” That’s gotta be a lot of fun being a part of a motorcade. It’s gotta be a very, very fun thing. “I and Gen Z is behind her.” Not that’s not the story. The question is: Why aren’t you standing up for women, Nick Roberts? Sorry, Councilor Roberts, why aren’t you standing up for women? And why aren’t you demanding an investigation into Joe Hogsett’s actions? Why did you stand there while Joe Hogsett harbors this alleged sexual abuser? Why did you just stand there in front of your feminist icon, Kamala Harris, the vice president of the United States? Why? Where’s your statement about Joe Hogsett? Why didn’t you ask Joe Hogsett to step aside and not show up because of the allegations against him? You want to tell me that Gen Z is the future? You are the leadership of the nation? Well you gotta prove it, and you’re not. It seems to me you’re just like every other politician. You’ll talk a big game when it’s about the other guy, but when it’s for you… Quiet as a church mouse.

Ohh…You’re going to tell me I don’t do this, and I don’t do that. I want you to lead. You’re the elected official. Go lead. You want me to be impressed with your age? I’m telling you to go lead. Because you haven’t done it yet. But you’re not alone. The city of Indianapolis has a mayor who harbored this guy for three years and may have recommended him for another job. I want to know if Joe Hogsett let Bose Law Group know. About the allegations against Thomas Carl Cook, I can’t get an answer to that question. Hell, I can’t get an answer to where Joe Hogsett was for two nights of rioting. Nick Roberts, Councilor Roberts, you a leader? Or are you just really a guy with a radical progressive ideology who feels that the ends justify the means. When do you stand up? When do you say words? When do you demand better? When do you prove that Gen. Z is really ready for leadership? We’re waiting and we’re watching.
